Job Description:
Elite Medical & Ambulance Services are seeking enthusiastic people with a caring disposition to join our team based at Hellingly, East Sussex. We transport patients to and from hospital safely, comfortably and on time. Our staff are highly trained, and our vehicles are clean and well equipped to maintain or improve quality of life whilst patients are in our care. As a Team Leader, the successful applicant will ensure the effective, efficient, and safe day-to-day resource of operations and managing the operational staff (ACA’s).

Your duties as a Team Leader would include:

  • Lead, motivate and monitor staff in order to develop and improve their skills, so that customer expectations are continually met or exceeded.
  • To liaise with Clinical staff to understand patient’s special needs and mobility to ensure their safe transport ensuring the patients dignity and respect is maintained.
  • Ensure the contracted service is delivered on a timely basis to the required standard in line with policies and procedures.
  • Available to transport patients should staff shortages occur
  • Liaise with work providers as required, ensuring that contractual issues are resolved & co-operation is achieved.
  • Provide support and advice to Ambulance Crews (ACA’s)
    Assist in the planning of the shift rosters, ensuring relevant cover throughout the year
  • On call duties, 1 in every 3 weeks currently.
  • Undertake regular checks to ensure cleaning requirement/rota’s are achieved
  • Ensure vehicle and equipment checks are completed as required
  • Deal with staff matters which arise as first point of contact
  • Follow all appropriate safety procedures and report any potential hazards or possible misuse of the service to the Operations Manager
  • Carry out any other duties relevant to the role as directed by your Ops Manager/Directors
  • The post holder must not divulge any confidential information to an unauthorised person that they may access during their employment

Ideal candidates:

  • Full driving license required with no more than 3 points
    Experience with PTS work
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team with strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and the application of a common-sense approach
  • Duties could involve lifting and moving patients
    Computer literate with an experience of Excel and the ability to pick up new systems
  • A caring attitude towards patients and outgoing friendly manger, able to show empathy
  • Demonstrate high level of commitment to the provision of an efficient and effective service
  • Ability to work to deadlines, at times under considerable pressure, without compromising standards of performance, calm under pressure and be and professional at all times

What you’ll be doing
We cover all types of events nationally including, music festivals, sports events &
film/TV set cover. You’ll usually work in teams of two and with a variety of other clinicians to include ECA’s,
Technicians, AAP’s, Paramedics, Nurses, and Doctors. This may be on an ambulance as part of a crew,
as a foot team or at an event medical centre which we equip to the highest standard, supplying everything you
will need to deliver excellent patient care.

Event Bank team
We are looking for enthusiastic staff to join our Bank Team working on a self- employed basis.
Events are published on our event scheduling system, allowing you to apply for the events/shifts which suit you.

You will need to provide:

  • Evidence of your qualifications
  •  An in-date disclosure and barring service check (DBS) Enhanced.
    This will need to be on the update service. (We can assist with this if you do not have one.)

Once you’re accepted, we’ll provide you with relevant induction training and
orientation of our kit, vehicles and colleagues.
You’ll be assisted with Elite specific procedures during your first events. This will
include completing our electronic forms, patient report forms and so on.
When the event is over, send us your invoice and this will be paid promptly.

You should also upload scans or photographs of:

  • Medical certificates
  • Emergency driving certifcate
  • DBS Enhanced certificate (on the update service)
  • ID picture, head-and-shoulders picture of yourself for your ID card.

Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for Ambulance Care Assistants (ACA’s) to join our experienced team. You will be responsible for transfer of non-emergency patients to and from health care settings, including hospitals and care homes for pre-arranged appointments.

Your duties as an ACA would include:

  • Transporting patients safely, comfortably and in good time for their appointments
  • Carrying out routine care of ambulance equipment and daily vehicle checks
  • Keeping accurate records of journeys
  • Reporting of any incidents/safeguarding to a Team Leader
  • Adhere to all policies and procedure training for your specific job role

‎Shifts are scheduled over 7 days with 05:30am being the earliest start time through to 00:00 as the latest finish time. Shifts are between 8, 10 and 12 hours long. The shifts will vary from week to week with different start times, finish times, days and crew members.

Job Description: We are currently recruiting for Urgent Care assistance & Emergency Care Assistants
(UCA’s/ECA’s) to join our experienced team. You will be responsible for transfer of
HDU patients between hospitals, Event cover, emergency response and emergency
transfers.

Your duties as an UCA/ECA would include:

  • Transporting patients safely, under blue light & normal conditions.
  • Responsible for the care and monitoring of patients.
  • Carrying out routine care of ambulance equipment and daily vehicle checks
  • Keeping accurate records of patients and journeys
  • Reporting of any incidents/safeguarding
  • Adhere to all policies and procedure training for your specific job role.
