Doctors Health Centre’s Annual BLS Refresher Training
Overview
This course invites all staff working within a GP practice to refresh and update their knowledge, management and skills around the patient in cardiac arrests. Early recognition, immediate Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and early defibrillation are vital in increasing the UK’s poor statistics in survival of out of hospital cardiac arrest.
This course has been designed to offer good understanding of the current legislation set out by the UK Resuscitation Council in identifying and treating patients in cardiac arrest and with the support of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
The course also includes information on the condition ‘Anaphylaxis. Again, like cardiac arrest the sooner the condition is identified and treated, the better result in patient distress and outcomes.
Our courses are delivered at your practice and at a time arranged by yourselves around your busy working hours. The lectures are all registered Paramedics and have a keen interest on sharing their extensive knowledge around these stressful situations.
The course is divided from a lecture to open workstations where the trainer will be able to answer questions and display additional skills for example, airway adjuncts and Bag Valve Mask (BVM) devices.
